I think I just trapped them all in the beds, so they had to eat the salad to survive... I shall be stalking them by moonlight with a sharp pair of scissors this year.CJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14311693185700341580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6235841642149423068.post-88030884924044214402013-05-02T16:34:25.279+01:002013-05-02T16:34:25.279+01:00We just need to grow more lettuce than there are s...We just need to grow more lettuce than there are slugs...CJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14311693185700341580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6235841642149423068.post-82322557295385953792013-05-02T16:33:44.193+01:002013-05-02T16:33:44.193+01:00Thank you Sue. I like growing my own salad leaves, but my goodness the slugs...slug pellets are effective but no good on plants you are going to eat.

My friend suggested planting these edible leaves in raised beds or pots and attaching a strip of copper tape around the top - apparently slugs hate the copper and it deters them.
