I live in Suffolk which depended on the wool trade, too but it declined in the sixteenth century. Some interesting doors there too, as well as the things growing next to them. That lovely spreading tree was my favourite, I think. So much history all in one place, and if werent for the double yellow lines you could almost feel yourself a century or two back!
